Trick Or Treat

What a great looking couple, right?! This was our first Halloween that we were able to pass out candy to trick-or-treaters and to put it mildly, we were really excited! Having grown up so far out in the country, I did not grow up passing out candy on Halloween and we never had any trick-or-treaters at the apartment in Ohio. We weren't about to let the little kids have ALL the fun, so we (along with CJ) dressed up as nerds. It was such a fun night! :)

Welcome BayLee Grace Drzymalla!

Our good friends, MeL and Steve are new parents! BayLee Grace Drzymalla was born this morning at exactly 12:00 a.m. We were able to visit the new family tonight and BayLee is a doll! Enjoy the pictures of our visit.

Birthday Surprise

For my birthday present, Kyle gave me an IOU for a shopping trip to Oklahoma City (the closest city with my favorite store). We were able to go last weekend, leaving early and enjoyed (at least I did!) lots of shopping Saturday morning. We left the mall in search of some shoes and after scanning the aisles of shoes in the first store, not finding anything, I was ready to head to the next store, however, Kyle wasn't about to let me leave. Kyle was laughing and I asked him what was going on and he simply said he thought he saw someone we knew. I turned around to see who he was talking about and there was my best friend (since 4th grade), Jessie and her husband, Justin. I was amazed Kyle was able to plan and keep this secret for so long. Kyle and Jessie had been scheming for weeks and it was an awesome surprise! After the initial shock wore off, we had a wonderful weekend eating at Cheesecake Factory (yum!), riding a water taxi in downtown OKC, going to an impromptu piano bar, and just catching up with the Hitchcocks! I wonder how Kyle will top this surprise next year.... ha ha! :)

Second Grade

This is a class picture of Lisa's second graders! It was school picture day and the principal let the students wear clothes other than their uniforms. It was fun to see how the students dress when they were not in school uniforms. Of course, they wouldn't be normal kids if they didn't beg to take a silly picture! :)

Labor Day Projects

Our Labor Day weekend was full of many projects. We did some landscaping around the house (now we just need a lawn!) and Kyle also made "potty toss." Even though we stayed busy, we sure enjoyed the time off school and working around the house.

This is the finished product of the new (and improved!) entryway.

Can potty toss get any better than this?!?

Officially Kansas Residents

It's official! We truly live in Kansas now... However, the Texas and Ohio plates are hanging in the garage! Some things are hard to let go of... :)

Heaven (or close to it...)

In the middle of our crazy, busy summer, we were able to enjoy a week in Colorado. It was amazing (as always) to get away from the "real world" and enjoy time in the mountains. Kyle and I spent a couple days in Denver before we went up to the cabin. Our week was filled with hiking, playing games, "rafting," and just relaxing. Enjoy the pictures!

Home Sweet Home

Our First House

We wanted to share some pictures of our new home with everyone. We are loving Kansas and really enjoying settling into our first house! We still have some work to do, but we wanted to share what we have done so far. Enjoy the pictures!

Hall/Guest Bathroom. One of the first things we did when we moved in was paint. We painted this bathroom as well as our bedroom. Luckily that was all we had to/wanted to paint! :)

Lisa has always wanted a zebra print shower curtain
and Kyle gladly (?) gave in....

There is a good story behind the completion of this bathroom. Anyone interested in hearing it should ask Kyle! :)

If any of you come and visit us in Kansas, you would be more
than welcome to stay in our guest bedroom!

The (very messy!) office...

More pictures will come later. We hope you enjoyed the pictures of our Kansas Home! :)
