Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! No nerds this year... Bummer! Instead of dressing up this year, we celebrated by carving some pumpkins, roasting the seeds, and making Halloween whoopie pies. We are still waiting on trick-or-treaters to come and take our candy! :) We also tried to dress Teagan up as a mummy, but he didn't appreciate it as much as we did. He did, however, love his Halloween treat (a chirping bird)! :) Hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween. Enjoy the pictures.

Meet Teagan

Hi, everyone! I'm Teagan. I was adopted in September from the Humane Society. I'm super ornery and I love playing fetch with a straw! I also like wrestling with my monkey and Kyle. I think I'm pretty perfect and I'm VERY spoiled! I hope to meet you some day. I love new friends to play with!
Love,
Teagan

It's Fall!!

Wow! It is hard to believe it is already fall! We both have already been in school for four weeks and we are feeling the fullness of our schedules. Between second grade lesson plans, college homework, youth group, officiating, preparing for Sunday School, leadership meetings, etc. we try to take time to actually hang out together. :) Enjoy the few fall pictures we are posting. More will be coming soon.

One Year!

We have officially been living in Kansas for one year and we couldn't be happier! This year has flown by and we have managed to stay super busy as always! :) Moving was a great change for us and we have enjoyed starting over in a new place together. A few highlights of this past year as Kansans....

1. Buying and setting up our first house and working in our new yard.

2. Lisa teaching second grade at an inner city school where she feels blessed each and every day by the kids in class and also by the people she works with.

3. Kyle has loved being a basketball referee and a baseball umpire. He has done over 300 games since January and is still going strong.

4. Getting closer to graduation for both of us! Kyle has one more year before he graduates and begins applying for PT school (He made the Dean's List!! YEA!!) and Lisa is in her last master's class and will finish next month (WOO HOO!).

5. Finding a church we both love, getting involved in the young adult group, Bible studies, VBS, Kyle's a trustee, and going as high school youth sponsors to San Antonio, Texas on a mission trip.

6. Celebrating our 4th Anniversary. That's right, FOURTH!

7. Just enjoying each other, family, friends, and life! :)

Snow Day!!!

Who says you have to either be kids or have kids to have fun?! School was called off today due to the weather we already had and what was being predicted. So far, we haven't seen too much of the weather they were predicting. Kyle was getting pretty jealous of all the snow Ohio was getting (and even Texas!) and we got just enough here to ease his jealousy. After we shoveled the driveway, we decided to make a snow fort. Of course it wasn't complete without a flag. :)

Christmas 2009

Wow! Christmas is such a busy time of the year! We were happy we were able to spend time and relax with both families again this year. We traveled to Texas for a few days and then to Ohio for a few days. Luckily we missed the snow and ice during our traveling times. We had a wonderful time with family! Enjoy the pictures!
